Chief of Police -

Welcome to the Stratford Police Department’s website. As technology evolves and times change, we find it advantageous to use technology as an effective means of interacting with the public.

In recent years, the Borough of Stratford has begun leveraging social media to keep the public informed regarding matters affecting our community.  The Stratford Police Department also routinely utilizes NIXLE, a public safety alert system, reaching folks by email and text message. For more routine communication, we send information using the borough EBlast system.

For many years, the Stratford Police Department has cherished a Community Policing philosophy to municipal law enforcement. In doing so, two way-communication is essential. We encourage our citizens to report matters by any means including our Police Tip Line TIPS@StratfordPD.org

If in the event you wish to share any information, whether confidentially or otherwise, you may be assured, all information received will be routed to the appropriate unit / division (i.e. Patrol, Administration, Detective Bureau, Internal Affairs Code Enforcement) and will be handled accordingly.

To learn more about the state of public safety affairs in the Borough of Stratford, please take a moment to peruse our latest Annual Police Report you may find on this website. I think you will find this past year’s police activity enlightening.

Lastly, anyone interested in a career with the Stratford Police Department is encouraged to review the recruiting announcements on the New Jersey Civil Service Commission website @ https://www.nj.gov/csc/index. After a written examination is passed by the applicant a list of eligible candidates will be promulgated and the hiring process will commence as required.

I wish to thank you for visiting our site, and please know, the officers of the Stratford Police Department value the unwavering support and appreciation you express to them on a daily basis.

Respectfully,
Ronald M. Morello
Chief of Police
